Do you have issues with your new Ford SuperDuty?

I have a 2016 ford platinum with the 6.7. Fuel mileage is horrible compared to my duramax and cummins. I do like the truck but when something needs to get fixed ford is horrible. Weather stripping on the front windshield was making noise, Dealer tried to fix it and caused a leak. Ford told me I would have to pay to replace window. Remember this is a $70K truck and they are telling me not once but twice I would have to pay for something when its under warranty. Well after a month of fighting with them they replaced the window only for me to have to pay and have it replaced again since they did such a bad job. 12 years ago I said i would never buy another ford since I had the same issues they don't want to fix anything. A $50 part cost them $15,000 In a lemon law suit. Overall I like the truck but if I had to do it again I would get GM or Ram as they always did everything to please you when it came to warranty work. Something to thing about

What made you go with Ford this time around?

I've done a lot of GM arbitrations over the years... owned Ford, Dodge and GM... not a bad one in the bunch.

This must be a regional issue. Around here Ford and Ram do what it takes to make the customer happy.

If you have a warranty claim with a GM you just about need a lawyer to represent you. And if your dealer is no longer around after the bankruptcy you can forget about service or a loaner vehicle.

We understand you too.

GM is bad. They will always be two steps behind and bailed out by the government. End of story!

No problems with my 2014 until recently. Tire Pressure Sensor Fault chime and light keep appearing. Took it to local dealer. They said it's not the sensors. They determined it to be the body control module.
Body control module replaced today. Got about 11 miles from the dealer and guess what? Chime sounded, light flashing in the cluster and Tire Pressure Sensor Fault message in the display. After the truck was there most of the day for a "2 hour" repair. To top it off they called me after I'd dropped the truck off and returned home to drive 12 or 13 miles in to bring my spare key because that had to be programmed to the new module. Seems like they could have let me know in advance about that and saved me a trip.

I'm in pa and ram and gm go above the call of duty to help you. Ford not so much. I had a 2002, 2004, 2016 powerstroke, I also had a 2002, 2005, 2015 duramax. Also had a 2014 ram 6.7. They all had there problems. I really don't think one was better then the next. Service from the dealer that's a different story

My friend has a 2012 - did have two sensor failures that caused it to be towed but otherwise has been good (60+k on it). NICe looking truck and great power and gets better mileage than my Dodge.
