I'm impressed. I'm sure the prices will be up with these features, but that seems to be the market. Same reason there isn't s gear tractor. Most people want the hydro. I'm not sure why people are concerned about a two range HST. I originally wondered why they only use two ranges while others have three, but the ranges overlap I don't see why three would be an advantage.

A dealer I ran into at a recent logging show told me there will be a 2 series factory cab model available.

I guess seeing the increased weight on these begs the question, what weight of tractor if used for mowing is going to compact the soil. I know they have mid mount mowers for the 3K series but I always thought they might be a little heavy for that duty. I know it will depend on how wet your lawn is (mine is dry when I mow) and soil type, but are there any rules of thumb for a weekly mower weight limit?

Keep in mind that the heavier tractor also has larger tires. On a lawn it's not pounds that matter, it's pounds per square inch (which is why turf tires reduce compaction and Ags increase it).

I may be in the market for a 25-32hp next year and I may prefer them over Kubota's B2650 or B2601. A durability concern is the raising and lowering of the mower deck has gone from hydraulic to an electric motor. It's mentioned they are made in Georgia which is nice to know, what engines are they using Yanmar presume?

Too much bling. I'll stick to my nice simple, reliable, and inexpensive Kubota's.

Deere has been moving away from Yanmar to their own engines on some models but I think the 2 series is still the Yanmar. An electric lift is an interesting change. Various industrial equipment has used electric for lift and similar functions for many years. My guess is they looked at the service and decided current technology made electric a good choice.

That's good Yanmar makes nice stuff. I'm interested to see the 25hp version when it comes out too.
