Just bought first tractor and got ripped off

I already priced the case and its $2700 for just the case itself.

Remove the old case and JB Weld it outside and inside. (or) Take it to a skilled welder and have crack welded shut.

this is the bottom part of the weld it is leaking pretty much right at the end of the weld itself where i scraped the paint off

Since it was welded before there is a good chance that it can be ground back and rewelded. It takes a good welder to weld cast so find one and get it fixed. Shouldn't be all that bad. If push comes to shove, like others have said give JB Weld a try but be very meticulous about it, especially the cleaning part. You'd be surprised at what you can do with that stuff especially if there is no real pressure and it's just holding fluid.

I'm just worried about the stress that area takes since the tractor has a front loader. The crack is about 4" behind the bell housing.

You could always try selling the tractor for the same price you paid or a loss equal to the cost to fix it.
