Anyone have any thoughts/predictions on the upcoming 2016-2017 winter season

You ain't kidding. I've lived in the South, Southwest, at 7000ft, Mid Atlantic, and South Texas and never seen just the short-term forecast be as bad as it is here in New Hampshire! I think it has to do with three jet streams and Atlantic weather converging (also why the weather on Mt. Washington is so bad and unpredictable).

If it snows anything like it has been raining this summer, it'll be a dozzy. The past 2--3 winters it has not snowed much at all (here). Thus, i predict a lot of snow for my area. Likewise, the past 2-3 summers and winters have been mild as to temperature. But I ain't predicting anything as to temps. Will I get a cigar?

That 5th warmest Summer sure didn't hit us here in Northern Missouri. I don't think we ever had a day over 100. For the most part, plenty of moisture to cool night time temps.

I offer nothing for the Winter prediction.
