Anyone affected by the gas pipeline break?

SWMBO is down in Mississippi and called me up in Virginia.

GasBuddy.com analyst Patrick DeHaan said the pipeline shutdown could lead to a 5- to 15-cent spike in gas prices for Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia, while South Carolina could experience a rise of up to 20 cents in the coming days.

If prices spike up I'm sure the prices will only come down very gradually.

Gas had already gone up the last week or two. Gas has been 1.75 for a while. I haven't been to town today, but it was 2.10 yesterday.

price jumped .30 today. One station in area are out of gas but have diesel, rest have at least 87 octane and diesel. Gas in shorter supply south of here in Nashville area. Lots of stations out of all grades of gas

Roanoke, Va area, I've seen 6 to 15 cent per gallon jump since Friday morning. I filled up at $1.85 per gallon.

Close to Roanoke, I filled up today in Daleville for $1.399,,, thank you Kroger fuel points!! :thumbsup:

It looks like some price gouging, I passed by my usual station this morning, $1.88, this afternoon, $2.24, no shortages noticed. I expect some increase due to transportation costs but not that much.
