Nice!

How much with the PT425 QA?

How much does it weigh?

It will be $1,492 plus $125 for the hitch/build fee. It's a little less material than the 50", but is not routine so it will be more time consuming!
250 pounds with the cylinder on it and the intermediate lower tine slats installed(which are included).

Here are pics of it in the buff with the mini universal mount.

I still think you guys need to come up with a durable, waterproof clear-coat that you could apply. These things are really wicked when raw metal with burn marks from welding?

I agree. I think they look awesome with no paint!

Just picked up my new grapple and land plane - but they're still on pallets, plastic-wrapped, on my trailer. My PT is at the welder's shop getting the needed welding done, and I'll drop off the land plane tomorrow to get its QA plate welded on.

So I read this thread and it is very interesting and the grapple looks great!
I am not happy with my PT 4 in 1 bucket (selling it and a PT stump grinder) and want to buy a root grapple like this.
How would I determine the correct angle for the PT plate for a PT1460?
Would it just be better to weld a PT plate (at the correct angle) to a universal skid steer qa plate to be able to use off the shelf skid steer attachments? PT1460 has plenty of lift capacity so I'm not too worried about the weight?

If you look at the angle of your 4/1 bucket (the backside in relation to the bottom), does that dump and curl back to your satisfaction? If so, then use that angle, or adjust carefully from there.
