Anyone affected by the gas pipeline break?

That is the first report I have seen that mentioned the length of the bypass. I have been really curious as to how much pipe had trouble.

Coworkers were able to find a few stations with gas yesterday. One of the coworkers spouses seems to have found the station I saw yesterday that had gas available. :) Really wondering when the diesel pumps are going to run out and how long it will take to refill since they are using the pipeline that normally transports diesel/fuel oil/Jet fuel to move gas

Pretty good on gas here, Nashville is hurting though. I'm curious about the environmental effect from this, evidently there isn't one being i haven't heard the first thing about that:confused3:

Well........ up here in the PNW the gas prices(87 octane) continue to rise. No real explanation given. Since the beginning of summer at $2.45 its now at $2.70. And with holidays approaching I see no decline in sight. If a station ever sold gas for under $2.25 around here - the rush to that facility would probably upset the tilt of the earth.

That is petty sad when a company has something brake then charge the people to pay for fixing it by raising there price.

I live near I-85. We have a Loves travel center nearby. I went there yesterday and they had 3 tankers offloading. They were lined up. I've never seen that before. Usually their own company tanker trucks bring gas in on some routine interval, but they had one of their own and two sub contractors or whatever in a row filling the tanks back up. Must be a real run on it.

The semis and regular vehicle traffic at that exit has been much more busy the last few days than I've ever seen it. I keep getting caught in traffic trying to get on or off the interstate, which is unusual for me.

Huh? The price increases are from gas station operators planning for the cost difference to truck the fuel from the next closest distribution terminal, not the pipeline operators.

Yes, the pipeline rupture has resulted in a shift of the supply of gasoline from S[SUB]1[/SUB] to S[SUB]2[/SUB] in the graph below.

Gas Buddy has this page showing gas availability, GasBuddy Gasoline Availability Tracker.

Last night the link showed one of the seven gas stations I drive by as having fuel. None of the seven had fuel when I drove past but they most have gotten some after I passed by. This morning there looked to be cars filling up but a few hours later, the link showed no gas.

There are some interesting geographical outages on the link in our area.

No effect here but California being the attention ****** they are they will probably go out and break one just to get themselves back in the news.
