ITs comical how backing a vehicle out of a paring spot has all of the sudden become so freaking dangerous.
We still have alot of parking lots around here that have angled parking. Where the isles are one-way. They do angle parking because you can make the isles smaller as you dont need as much room to swing, and they are one way. ITs impossible to back into them inless you are a moron and driving the wrong way.
Straight parking....yea alot of times I back in. But it has nothing to do with safety or any of the reasons mentioned here. Its simply about maneuverability. In a narrow isle, trying to hit a tight parking spot with cars on either side....sometimes trying to pull forward in just wont work, as you cannot make the turn without hitting one of the cars on either side. Backing in solves that issue.
