My wife's chicken coop was 2000lbs I'm guessing. Loader was rated for 1,200lbs & could pick up half. Threw round fence posts under it & just pushed it with the tractor the 2 times I needed to move it.

Ancient technique, but works surprisingly well.

Thanks Fallon, I need to get it on the ground first, once it is I could move it like you suggested. Woody, If you aren't doing anything this weekend, Michigan is beautiful this time of year:laughing:

You live in the middle of Michigan. The land of Amish shed builders. They have trailers made to move sheds that can do amazing things. Contact one of those shed places and ask them for the number of a shed mover. Those trailers can move 40 foot sheds. I had a 12X 20 foot shed moved 35 miles and set in place and blocked up for $300. Just to take it off the truck and move it into place would not cost you very much.

I just sold a 20' container to a friend who had a roll back wrecker pick it up off of the ground and move it 50 miles and the wrecker charged him $150. total.
Cut it loose and let the wrecker drag it from the truck frame on to his bed then place it.
I have moved 20 and 40' containers with a Landoll Trailer at a past job and it is easy to slide them off and place if there is enough room.

Probably will using a local wrecker service - they told me about 75$ to 100$. Still waiting on the boss to give me the OK to pull the box.

You could dig a pit to back the truck in and just drag the box off the back. If you can drive the truck where it needs to go is a rollback truck going to be able to make it. I have a rollback and it's pretty terrible at off roading.

Didn't really read through the whole thread but just unloaded a 16ft box a few weeks ago. Anchored it to a big skidsteer and lifted one end then put pipes under it as rollers and backed up the skidsteer. Got to the end send set the rear down and moved the skidsteer to the front and lifted it and pulled the truck out. Was about a hr total but went very well1476183561354.jpg1476183575168.jpg1476183595098.jpg1476183604618.jpg

Rollback moved 2 boxes for me at 100 dollars each about 20 miles. Key was pavement the whole way and slide off onto six concrete parking blocks. The long frame, and road tires might make it hard to locate it where you want. Appeal to the bosses ego and he will make it happen if it can be done.
