Bolens 1502H / Iseki TX2140
Hi all, new member with a new to me Bolens/ Iseki H1502. I'm doing a refurbish before adding a FEL for some light dirt work. I already have the loader.

I'd like to add connections for the loader while I have all the fluid drained. I was thinking of putting a quick disconnect set on the joint about 12" behind the pump, which I assume is there for splitting the tractor. I would have to use a short link hose when the loader isn't mounted. I like the idea of not cutting the hard line.

Is there a problem doing this? Im new to tractor hydraulics, is there a better way to go? Would I then use the PB port on the loader valve to go out to the 3 point?

I think I read somewhere on this forum that the small pump
on this type of tractor is inadequate to operate a front end loader.

Thanks for the heads up. There are actually a lot of these tractors with loaders. Bolens even had a factory option loader, the model 1517. I have a small loader, just looking to see if my plan for tapping hydraulics is sound. I'll put up a pic of the joint I'm referring to.

Your pump will be fine. I have a G194 w/a 60" plow. Factory set up. Have a Kubota loader I'm adapting. Will just take plow off and mount loader. My pump flows 3.1 gpm @2000psi. Your pump flows 3.0 gpm@1850psi.

Thanks, good to hear. I'm going ahead using this joint. Got some adapters to go from the metric compression fittings to npt. I found a pic of another tractor doing essentially the same thing. I'm going to run 2 elbows to point both fittings back, tucked in beside the side grille.

It worked pretty well. A couple elbows routed it so the coupler is accessible even with the side grille installed.

Incidentally, if anyone needs a replacement grille for a 1502, g152, g154, etc... a radiator grille from a 1999 arctic cat 400 ATV works well. Just had to bend the bottom out a little to clear the cooler lines. $12 on ebay.

You've inspired me to start my original plan to build a FEL on my TX2160F. Are you able to post a few more pics of your hydraulics set with the loader attached? I like your idea of tapping into the existing line. Have you also tapped into the return line the same way?

Thanks for your original posts, pics and ideas.

X2

Finally found someone with a 1517 loader who was close enough to me to make mounting bracket templates for all the bracing to mount/build my own.
Took lots of pictures and measurements for clarity as well.

Boy did he have a lot of parts and accessories for these tractors. Got a new source for parts now.

Wondering what happens to the pressure if a branch on-does one of your couplers?

I have a TX 1500F. Looks like the same tractor as yours. I have a Brantly front end loader on my tractor and it has its own hydraulic pump driven directly off the front crank shaft. Works very well. Good speed and power to lift 900 pounds.

Sorry for digging up an old thread but wanted to post pictures of the FEL I am building for my 1502
I cut a much bigger Ford 770 loader down.
just starting the hydraulic lines now but hopefully it will be done in next couple weeks.

Started installing the hydraulics. Installed the hydro block and new quick disconnect hoses up to the
control valve. Next up have to modify the hard lines.

Hard lines cut down and secured with weld nuts
Now got to measure for the rest of the hoses.

Sorry for the ugly mug shot of the rider. Got my loader all finished up today and just playing around here.
Have 1 small leak at the trans cooler hose(not even loader install related) and need to swap 2 hoses around at control box because bucket goes up when it should go down and vice versa.

Do you have any pictures of it?
How is it attached to the crankshaft. I removed my front PTO will I need the sleeve/spring and pin to use a front pump?
