Front Wheel Brakes?

No tractor has front brakes. ..

While this is true of USA tractors, I understand that some European tractors do have front brakes simple because they use them on the highway a lot hauling or towing trailers and their laws require them.

My LS has automatic 4 WD engagement when I press the brake pedal so it essentially brakes with all 4 wheels via the transmission locking all the wheels together.

I am in the corner of not ever locking my pedals together. I want to be able to steer the front end around tighter if needed by applying the correct brake. It is not difficult to place your foot on both pedals at the same time if needed.

My LS has a separate parking brake so no need to lock the pedals together to then lock the brakes. However my Kubota has no parking brake and thus to be able to lock both brakes, you need to flip the little lever to lock both pedals together if you want both sides to brake since the pedal lock only locks the left hand side. I never lock them since just one brake holds great and will stall the tractor if I forget to unlock the pedal. The pedal locks are just not needed for me.

He must have found an auto front hub that would fit the tractor spindle??

What's that saying that ends in "the Mother of Invention"???? Can't remember the first part???

Necessity is the mother of invention.

I heard my dad say one time... your memory us the second thing to go... but I can't remember what the first thing is!

Necessity is the mother of invention.

And Thrifty is the father. Or maybe it was Stingy or Cheap. You can often tell by looking at the invention.

On my B2601 there is a clip on the two Brake pedals. Is this for Front and Rear Brakes? ( lock them both together )
I have the Machine off the ground and while applying both pedals there is no front Braking.
Lock both pedals down. The front wheels spin freely by hand.
Phoned home to the wife. She comes outside and muscled both brake pedals down with her foot and the front wheels show no resistance at all.
What are these two pedals for? Left and Right Rears?

You might try reading your operators manual sometime. You might be surprised at what you'll find in it.

On the L2501 manual gear tractor, I leave them unlocked so when I'm bush hogging and get to the end of the field for a turn, I can just hit the brake pedal for the way I'm turning and it will swing around on a dime and give me 5 cents change...lo. Really works good if I'm going a little too fast. Seat belt on because it will just about throw me off the tractor. I was use to the old 8N for years and it would not turn so quickly like that.

Thanks, it makes sense. You can use L&R for working and not just stopping with this setup on a Tractor. BTW Dickfoster, in the several places where brakes are mentioned in my manual, it always refers to left and right pedals. Nothing said about what wheels receive what for braking. ( This is my first Tractor ) The manual Recommends to lock both pedals together when parking, and not to use single pedals when traveling at high speeds etc. I wish one of the other motor vehicles I own had only a thirty page manual like this Kubota. She is Over 1" thick. It's been three years, and I'm only half way through that one. :)

Now that you've received:
Wheel Braking 101 : Use individually wheel brakes to turn sharply. Lock pedals together to apply both brakes (for parking and accidental high speed braking swerves).

Lets move on to:
Independent Wheel Braking 202: When getting stuck, apply braking to the spinning tire so torque is transferred to the tire that has more traction.
