No tractor has front brakes. ..
While this is true of USA tractors, I understand that some European tractors do have front brakes simple because they use them on the highway a lot hauling or towing trailers and their laws require them.
My LS has automatic 4 WD engagement when I press the brake pedal so it essentially brakes with all 4 wheels via the transmission locking all the wheels together.
I am in the corner of not ever locking my pedals together. I want to be able to steer the front end around tighter if needed by applying the correct brake. It is not difficult to place your foot on both pedals at the same time if needed.
My LS has a separate parking brake so no need to lock the pedals together to then lock the brakes. However my Kubota has no parking brake and thus to be able to lock both brakes, you need to flip the little lever to lock both pedals together if you want both sides to brake since the pedal lock only locks the left hand side. I never lock them since just one brake holds great and will stall the tractor if I forget to unlock the pedal. The pedal locks are just not needed for me.
