That bridge looks great, makes me wish my creek was in a place that needed a bridge! One question, will it settle enough to have to maintain the surface?

Today was the fist time in twelve years we did some maintenance on the bridge. We raked some sand off the top, blew it off with a leaf blower and replaced the wooden stair rail. It has not sunk or rusted and no rock has fallen off.

I hope to re-purpose the wood bench. It has a Formica top over a thick sheet of plywood. I might make it into a picnic table/shooting bench.

RNG, I wish you lived closer. I was going to give it to a best friend that I owe plenty of favors to, but he said he just built 2 benches with 1/4" steel tops and he doesn't need this one. I guess I will debur it and see what I can get for it on CL.

I'm listening to our high school football team having a tough time against a perennial foe. There are 8 teams left vying for state.

LG said warranty is 12 months from purchase, 15 months from manufacture. They will repair under warranty.

Good evening all. 46F this morning mostly cloudy calm wind. Made it to 63F again, sky cleared some about noon, then went full overcast this afternoon. Rain began 6:30PM. Bike ride, the storm shelter got installed, nap, then quickly lost interest in rearranging garage. The workbench does fit where we think we want it .

Finally picked up 22 Hornet Ruger M77 with Nikon scope all ready for some target shooting. Very well balenced with rotary clip 6 shots. The stock has some really nice grain in it, 20 inch barrel

It must be over 8 years since I planted a few Nordmann fir. At the time they were only a couple of inches in height and even now the biggest is still not much more than my waist height. To a 6 year old that should be just about enough for a little adventure for us together today, selecting the best one to dig up, put in a pot and add a few tiny decorations. Hope you all have a great weekend, whatever you are planning to do.


Kyle, the range of bounty you keep getting is incredible. At this rate the building you work from must surely soon be an empty shell.

Coffee is done brewing. 52ｰ with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63ｰ with chance of rain in afternoon. Don and I got about 80% of the blocks hung on bridge. Ran out of daylight to finish. Hope we can get finished before rain hits this afternoon.

The look at ends will not be what is seen from bridge. It will look like stacked logs.
My ancestor came from England and Belgium. The ones from England came down from Canada as fur traders and settled in central MI. Those from Belgium came before WWI. Not much history beyond there. Although family from Central MI have done a family tree that we have copies of. Our copy was last updated in early 1980's.
