Thanks guys, I took this into consideration. I am going to go with the Kubota QA system and the 60" Manual plow. I like the set up and want to able to push banks back.

They are calling for another 4-6" on Saturday here in MA, very cold here low of 1 tonight!

Last week they called for 6-8, we got rain lmfao what do they know

Remember the old days when they used a chalk board and erasable marker for the weather forecast? Out of necessity the average farmer had to become a weatherman. At least they are pretty clued in this days and with better looking weather babes it's not so noticeable when they're wrong. Excluding hay season.

We get KC local channels. One channel has a very good weather "Man". He's direct and offers logic to his predictions. Always gives a lot of data in a simple and rational way. Very easy to understand. Doesn't talk so fast you can't understand him. I like him. The fast talking weather babes on the other hand simply baffle you with BS and are clueless why it's happening. :)

Today I can get radar and bring current conditions and 4 hour future expectations down to my actual road. I'm now the short term weatherman.

We all know weather is very important in rural areas; more in some and a little less in some. When we lived in the remote far north, we would often watch the satellite dish weather for hours on a bad winter night. Everyone did because you might have an ice storm or two feet of fluffy snow and 50 MPH winds and 30 below. No one was coming to your rescue if you screwed up or your car quit on the road unless you were lucky.

Anyway, when we moved south down here, I casually mentioned hours watching the weather channels and disbelieving people wondered why anyone would ever do that. I think it's just the survival instinct and those people don't get it. The snowflake people don't watch the weather at all. Stay tuned on that.

Oh, here's your long range forecast that is pretty good. Looks like a warm summer on tap and right about now in December, that sounds OK to me.

It seems that every couple of years the weather people switch between what I call "CYA" mode where they predict rain just-in-case and there's not much rain to where when they call for rain, it's pretty certain you'll get rain.

As far as watching for hours, I've never done that, except when there's a big snow/ice storm here, or during the flood last year, but they switch back and forth between the weather and the reporters showing the chaos that's happening because of the weather. What else are you going to do during that kind of weather?
