What's going on at Amazon?

I need to pay attention and hold them accountable myself. Often one or more of a multiple item order will not show for a week.

Some items on Amazon aren't physically handled by Amazon at all and will not be included with the Prime 2 day shipping.

Amazon is now the LAST place I look. If you're not a Prime member, they hold your order for a week. And that's for the items "sold and fulfilled by Amazon". And if you use PayPal to buy on Amazon, there's a 1 in 3 chance Amazon will cancel your order saying something like the account doesn't match. I turn around and reorder and it goes through. I've heard that this process is SOP for Amazon because of the political divide of the two CEOs. I'm done with Amazon.

I get better service from Ebay sellers and Etailers and usually at a better price. And most of the items I order off Ebay get a rebate. Now Ebay has expanded the rebates for some classifications effective January 1st, 2017.

In protest to Amazon's terrible treatment of their employees......I only ordered one thing from them today.

I've been buying from them from day on. I am a prime member and for me it's a lot easier to buy from them with one click and have the product arrive the next day than it is with calling all over town or driving all over town trying to communicate with non English speaking workers who don't know squat. Their price is almost always cheaper than anyone on the net and really cheaper than local. I can order at 8pm at night and it at my door by noon. Returns are flawless. I needed some faucet parts and went to 5 local stores and a plumbing house, and no one had what I needed or could match what I was holding in my hand. Checked Amazon and it was right there so I ordered a dozen for future. Great for my daughter in college. She needs something I order it and delivered the next day at her dorm.

Being kinda new to Prime, how do you check the guaranteed by date after the order is placed?:confused3:

When you are checking out it will show items being ordered and show deliver by date.I also recieve a email with the same information after the order is placed.

I've ordered over a hundred items as a prime member and have never received it the next day. Two day delivery is normal and is worth the $100 but I do buy locally whenever possible so that those stores and their employees will remain.

btw, I'm not a f an of Jeff Bezos and wish there was another alternative. Yes, I do buy from eBay (600 items) but delivery isn't as fast.

When you log in to your amazon account, you will see beside your name MY ACCOUNT. Open the drop down box and click on MY ORDERS

Just goes to show how much the mail order experience varies. I've had nothing but trouble from almost every ebay purchase. Just this month some idiot shipped a chain saw with absolutely no packing in the box, and the bar, which he'd detached from the motor, sliced it's way through the box and was lost. He blamed the shipping company, and expected me to file the claim and wait for payment. I had to go through the ebay resolution process and eventually got paid for a new bar, but what a hassle. I've had very, very few problems with Amazon purchases, and a simple phone call has resolved every one of them in very short order. That alone is worth the ninety-nine bux a year to me. Oh but wait, that kind of problem resolution is available for any Amazon purchase, not just ones in their Prime program...
