Crash. on a flexible board. You can cut kerfs across the back side of the board to give you some flexibility.
I've done that with a couple of wood boats and a stair railing I was making.

Today Was going pretty good.
Fired up wood stove. Was worried about stove pipe, looked at outside & it looked OK. a little cardboard to see if pipe is plugged up. Nope draws real well, more cardboard & some small wood. Boy does this fee; good. May set it for a fire in the AM. Made beans yesterday, they taste good. Were not quite done, but ate some anyway.

Doug showed up with some beer, ( I was almost out.), before getting into beer, want to put up 1 board. Good deal that seals up the cave pretty well.

Tomorrow the eagle poops, get some propane, bird seeds, dog seeds ( have enough for another 2/3 weeks.) & a little human stuff. In Jan I get a big $4 raise.

Called VA & got through fairly fast. Think I told you about problem with neck, if now I will. Have an appointment at 11AM tomorrow. Sure strange, figured it would take a few weeks.

Then look at a letter. Says I owe $547 dolor's for tax on lotto winnings or a tax refund. Nope I owe the court for a court law suit 7 years ago. Why was I not billed for it then. Civil suits can't do much, but what should be a civil suit is now a court case. Another bogus bill that has to be paid.

Now I know where the state, county & city are getting $$ to build unneeded roads, freeways & side walks where no one walks. + running huge buses that barely has any riders. OH well life goes on.

Yep it the prostrate that is giving me problems, along with back & other pains. Pain pills don't seem to do much, nor do back braces. Will talk to DR. about that. At times 8 to 10 hours with nothing to drink makes no difference.

VA today.
Different back brace. Corset type, in a little while it sure made me hurt. Think I have figured out why. No meat on back & it irritates the bones. Some adjustments & a thick shirt should help. Sure hope so. Will be getting different pain pills. 3RD try, sure hope the next ones work. Throat problem is no fun. get to drink some barium in a couple of weeks, while they look. DR says it does not look like cancer. that made me happy.

New Fry's, its huge, way too big. Got 1/2 through & realized time for The VA.Went to Lowe's got a little outdoor carpet. It will cover part of the deck. like the look & feel, but they don't sell it in a way that it could be done in 1 piece. Think Home Depot does, Bugged Dr about disabled card so can get discount there. Paint $25 + or - a little. Damm that is costly. will need about 2 gallons I think.

If not too far out of your way, you might go by here sometime. They sell donated building materials, including paint, cheap.

No experience with the Tucson store, but visit the one here regularly.

Bruce thanks for reminding me about Habi. haven't been there in quite a while. sure be worth it for the paint. Even though its almost 50 miles away.

when I started this thread, didn't think it would last long. My life is pretty much non interesting.

A friend Larry will be here on Sat according to his sister. Comes every winter, usually around Thanks giving. She said he just got a clean bill of health on his cancer. He drives from MI to here & back every year. & I hate to drive to town.

Its been drizzling & trying to rain for a couple of days. It did rain pretty good today, just didn't last long. Saw a rain bow today. a week or so ago there was a double one. First time in all the time I have been here.

Went out in the AM with a simple plan. Feed birds, & unload truck. Then things started going wrong, so to speak. Got the carpet thing uncovered, just wanted to see what size it was. 1 Thing leads to another. It is 6'x8', that is what I remembered. Well lets see how it will look. Hey pretty good. Then things got worse. Brain dead, deck is 6' wide, try to put carpet long ways across deck. Have to move almost everything on the deck. Not just once, but twice & 3 times for some things. At last it dawns on me put it the other way. What a revelation. Move things some more. OH well tomorrow is another day to screw up some more.

Doug walked down. Says what are you going to do with the propane tanks is the truck. Plan ti bring them in, but not in a rush. He carries them up for me. Asks about dog seeds, then takes them in the barn for me. What about ice chest. then takes it in the barn. AH shucks he didn't unload it & put things in the fridge.

Ken, it will more than likely be after new years before I mail anything. Traffic & stores are a total mess. Christmas shopping'
Then it will be the same with returns & exchanges. also most stores have really good sales after Christmas & new years. Post office only 25 miles away has 1 window & even at regular times, there is a line.

Jim Enjoy your Christmas and as for being in hurry for the package I can wait.
Seems your problems could best be explained as interesting. Some times events keep getting in the way.

Arizona and many other states used to be places where the individual could enjoy the open spaces and not having to fight crowds just to get the everyday business of going to town completed.

I grew up and owned property for over 50+ years here in Rural Ark. and closest neighbor was close to 1 mile away. we could hear what he was doing and he could hear us . Traffic was such as the joke we have time to wash up put on a clean shirt and shoes before they arrived . now cannot walk on side of road because of traffic speed limit 45 is doing 60 and every one has a cell phone stuck to their right hand

So wish you and your extended family a Merry Christmas . give your dogs extra treat. stay friendly with neighbors. at least to end of the year.
