If the local welding shop can put a sharp knife edge on the backside of the shanks - if the points can be removed. That would be the cheapest (remember, he did not want to spend money on a subsoiler).

I would think he could buy an axle and a few disks with hubs... and mount that under the box blade.

Agre has this and blades to go with it. 3/4 Coulter Hub Assembly Fits Brown

Need to do some measuring.

Also will be checking with my local AGG stores, but most closed today.

Box Blade points are usually crimp on. One good hit with a hand sledge usually knocks them off.

I have a small one of those, but no I need to slice thin furrows. I discovered my old Chraftsman garden tractor box blade in the junk pile. It has thin ripper teath, Need to dig it out and see if it will fit my new mower tractor. Might work. Ill get to this once the snow melts a bit.
