Nice pic Pete!!!!
I'm quite enjoying having a mob of lambs to shift. Around 470 in there. About 2 dozen, we reared up on milk powder from day 1, hence the reason they are running towards me in the picture. Doesn't take much to get 'em moving! Some are still friendly enough to come for a scratch, so I don't know what their fate will be yet.

When I was 16 years old I owned 105 ewes and 4 rams. I was very blessed that my Dad shared his limited farming space with me and my brother. I also had 15 sows that I farrowed twice a year. That year I also bought 12 calves and Wintered them in a feed lot. Other kids got to hang out in town after school and on weekends. I was home choring. :)

I owned my first 4 pigs this year at 36.. so you got there long before I did!! I'm lucky that I have gone from being a flat-tack dairy farm manager /tractor operator/logger etc to spending all day as a hobbyist. Living the dream... children animals tractors welding.. fishing knee deep in a river that I can walk to.. I wouldn't swap farming for anything.

I just came across this thread;
Pete you have some beautiful land and farm. As well as Richard.
I am always jealous about nice green land. I have green in the spring only, after that it's brown/yellow and nothing will grow but weeds somehow. :confused:
Here is some pics of my place.
PS, that little sliver of water above my house is the most southern edge of the Great Salt Lake.
