I want to get pallet forks. Since I don't have quick attach, I think it's time to get that as well. When researching quick attach systems, I noticed the terminology skid steer quick attach and euro global quick attach. Are they the same?

No. Maybe someone else can can attach pics, or drawings, but they are different, and not interchangeable

I think the euro is the alo system.

Best to go with SS unless you are exceeding it's weight limitations.

No offence, but a quick Google search for each term will readily show the differences. SSQA is what you want & MUCH more common.

Jerry, not trying to hijack your thread here but looking at your name, do you have any where what you grow? Looking for options on our small farm.

I'm not a true farmer in any way. I just like to play with my tractor and atvs on my recrestional property. Food plots for wildlife would be about all I grow. I did have about 1/4 acre of pumpkins one year. Lots of fun but didn't do it for profit. Enjoyed giving the pumpkins away for Halloween.

They're two different QA 'systems'.

The SSQA, as the name says, was/is developed for the very robust Skid Steer and it's lifting, powered implement and, especially, digging arms. It wasn't designed for a tractor's FEL but has been adopted by many in North America due to its availability and the availability of rental implements. It is a heavier weighted system due to the attachment plate that is required on each implement. This added weight will have an effect on your FEL lifting capacity.

The Euro Global QA is a QA specifically designed for a tractor's FEL and it's comparatively 'lighter' work/design (despite what we actually ask our FEL to do ). If memory serves, it's a 'self locking/disengaging' mechanism. It is popular throughout Europe (hence the name), Aus/NZ and other countries... My friends in Pyengana use it on all of their tractors with a FEL.

All implement manufacturers are happy to provide their implements to fit whatever QA system you ask for. The choice is yours,Mate.

The universal skid steer style quick attach will generally have two spring loaded levers at the top center of your loader arms. When you pushed these levers down, they will engage two pins vertically at the bottom. With the euro global style, you will only have a spring loaded lever on one side of the loader arms, not the top. This lever will engage pins horizontally, left to right, to secure the attachment. I have attached pictures of the back of two of our pallet fork frames. The skid steer quick attach system would be the best option as it is very quick and easy to connect. You will also find very competitive pricing on any SSQA implement. skidsteer-euroglobal.jpg
