Today was a great day (the sun came out here finally) and for my shop! Didn't get anything done but did make a great score on a JET Air Filtration system w/remote and 4 Bessey large K-clamps, plus 4 clamp blocks. $150 for all. Figured $600 new and all in very good condition. Rare for me to find quality stuff I really need in great shape for a great price. :cool2:

This MAY be of interest to you. You should be able to find articles of it and others on line.

I have that magazine with others of the series. Also plenty of pieces pre cut to make several more. Made first one several years ago for the grand kids ------ now teenagers and still play it!

Dragoneggs, nice air system. I found it worked great in my last shop, though I put a fairly loose weave filter in front of the opening
if I was painting or doing a lot of sanding, to preserve the internal filters.
It blows enough air to cool your shop a bit too.

Thanks daugen, in fact I was wondering about spray paint effect. I saw a youtube vid where the guy increased the efficiency by replacing the pre-filter with a two larger cheap furnace filters making a prism shape to more than double the intake area. I thought that was a great idea. Plugged it in and it works great... now just have to figure out a good location on the ceiling that doesn't get in the way and I have convenient 'line of sight' for the remote control. I like the fact it has a timer (2,4, and 8hr) for auto off! Quiet too!

I have one in my shop and it works pretty good. One improvement I'm glad I made was make a lowered mount for it. My shop has 10 or slightly higher foot ceilings and I couldn't reach it if it was mounted directly to the ceiling. I made a mount that lowers the buttons on it to just inside of my maximum reach. The point of this is I have a hard time keeping up with the remote.
