Didn't bother to read all this thread. The video in the first post is stupid. Didn't latch/unlatch anything, sped up the video. Did I miss something? So deceiving.
Congrats on the new tractor!!!!

Read the grapple threads, almost everyone that gets a grapple says "I wish I would have got it much sooner"
Look at the fun you can have with a grapple: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/211635-grappling-fun-picture-thread.html
xfaxman.
I can see where you are going, but I'll hold off even so. If, 10+ yrs from now, I'm still kicking and need it, I'll probably be happy to spend the cash, and happier still that the money I could have spent on the SSQA was well invested and earned the price of a nice shiny new JDQA grapple in the meantime.
But you warned me, so you get first dibs on "I told ya so"![]()
Thanks to everyone here. A lot of good suggestions and ideas were put forward that I greatly appreciate. We closed the deal tonight on a new machine. It will not have SSQA, but I did decide that I would change my choice of implements to better match what we need to do and they will all be JD QA. Primarily, I decided to forego the pallet forks I had been considering for a grapple that will excel at what the forks only did adequately. ----------
