I have a B2650 looking at getting a land plane . I'm in Ontario Canada so I looked at a chinese-made Agri Ease 60" land plan and a somewhat locally made MK Martin. Price difference is marginal $1400 for the former and $1600 for the ladder. Both are the same weight. I am leaning for the Canadian made unit for the quality difference and to support local manufacturing. I have about 1200 feet of driveway to maintain and I also need it for an upcoming job to smooth over a gravel driveway after I trench about a thousand feet. Does anyone have any experience with either brand?

Yeah thanks but by the time I get them imported you're looking at about 50% on top of whatever the American pricing is. Looks like nice stuff though. Are dollar sucks right now.

I have a Land Pride GS2584 - works great on my mile long gravel driveway. But, I would imagine you will run into the same $$ exchange rate problem with that. I know many on here have MK Martin snow blowers and speak favorably of their quality. Given the choice - I would go with the MK Martin.

Looks like I can get Land Pride through Kubota dealers around here . I will call for a price on Monday. I want to get a 60 inch not a 48-inch. Is that the correct size for my tractor?

Hmmmm,,,,
I would think,,, you could buy;
A welder
A steel cutting bandsaw
A drill press
and,,
all the steel you need for the landplane,, TOTAL, for less than $1600,,,

Are you interested in doing it yourself? :confused:

Yep. I built a 72x72 out of used I-beam, 14" tall, and including the cutting edges (I used Titan 4"x1/2" bucket cutting edges, welded to 6x6x3/8 angle), I have less than $500 in it. It's not pretty, but it works great. I'll post some pics next time I'm out at the property.

I own an HVAC business now so it a matter of my time may be better served working and paying for it vs taking a few weekends to make it.
