Years ago I had a JD350 crawler delivered to our place. I told my wife I bought it for her and if she didn't want it, I would use it.

Yes, we're still happily married.

Got the parts in, so I installed the 10 watt solar charging system on the trailer.

Panel got placed on the lid.

Leads were routed through holes under the panel.

The panel connects to the controller via Anderson Power Pole connectors so it can be disconnected if the controller is going to get disconnected from the battery.

The little green light says things are running .

Looks good, but I would probably need some sort of a guard over the solar panel. The first piece of firewood into the trailer would miss(or hit).

You could always use expanded metal. Or just two pieces of 1/2" rod in a + shape would be a significant improvement.

That was my idea, simple bars. I know(hope most do also ) that a solid shield wouldn't work.

Yup. Started with just one trailer. Now I have eleven! The neighbours sre starting to talk.

But I did control myself on the tractor front. Onl have one.
