If you were in my area, to acquire a unit for 5 years from now you'd need to start looking now. I looked for a year in Northern CA and Northern NV to find a used unit. No success. I found some offered for sale, but everything I found was beat up and torn to shreds.

The brand name didn't matter. People seemed equally punishing no matter what the color was.

The market is saturated with mowers here, I picked my husky up for $800, it's a 2013, has 200 hours on it and is 24hp with 54 deck, hydrostatic drive. Dude took really good care of it. I see 445s and occasionally a 455 on CL for 2-4K range and around 1000 hours.

If I had the pocket change to get one I would and sell my husky but I don't do I will just wait and pay off/down on stuff.

I'm trying to get to the point of not being 100% reliant on my job, if I lost it right now I would be screwed and have to start selling off things I owe on within 2-3 months. I got everything bought I need, next 4 years will be paying off everything but the house and that will put me at 30 with just a house payment. That's the plan anyway lol.

It's all there in the post via links, they both follow the SAE J1995 guidelines on power, torque is measured at 2600 RPM and HP at 3600 RPM

Go back and look again- Kawasaki Critical Power engines adhere to SAE J2723, an automotive-caliber standard that痴 among the tightest in the industry. It demands that engines deliver at least 98% of rated horsepower. This strict rating method eliminates variances that may produce less precise horsepower numbers.- I told you I would give you a pop quiz grasshopper

They say that but the engine in question is rated by J1995 not J2723, I took SS of it but I'm unable to post them. So the Briggs and Kawasaki are rated at the same specs.

No luck today. I called to see if mower was ready. Said sales rep went home sick. Funny. I did not know sales rep worked the shop also. Lol. I know he needs to go over delivery info. Maybe tomorrow. What a disappointment though. Even arranged to leave work a few minutes early. But the bright side is I get to have an excited outlook again tomorrow. Oh. And the recall on the washer I spoke of was the one that happened last year with the loose tops and flying lids. I ended up with a broken hinge.

Actually. I was going to pick up. I think they can deliver it now. That's what I found irritating. I already have sales papers etc. all I was waiting for was cart assembly. They acted like they were going to have it ready before close on Saturday. I said I'd come Monday instead. It was already afternoon when decided to purchase on Saturday. The guy must have been pretty sick and forgot to leave orders. But it happens. Just got word a friend I was suppose to meet on Thursday has flu. Still going around then. I know everyone has their own feelings about it but I have not had flue in ten years since I started taking flu shot. Use to get it every year. I wouldn't chance a season without it. The flu hurts too much.

I have never had the flu before. I used to get sinus infections twice a year, now I haven't been sick or had even a cold in the better part of 4 years. If the guys at work get something real nasty, usually it makes its rounds threw all shifts but all I get is feeling like I have a mild upset stomach for 15-24h and that's it.

They offer free flu shots here at work but never have had one.

I picked up mower and cart. In yard it is bigger than it looked at dealer. Must have grown on the way home. I've driven/pulled kids in cart and tried the mower. All I have to say is WOW! I'm in love. John Deere rocks.

It didn't happen unless you take pics lol

Congrats! Now keep that excitement for that mower and keep up on the maintenance and she possibly may be the last mower you buy.
