Thats gorgeous! What engine is in that? Id love a jk.

Missouri has Inspection Laws. Number one rule is the engine has to be offered in the vehicle. I wanted to do a V8 swap but couldn't. So I added a Kenne Bell Supercharger to the I-6 4.0L.

Good farmer friend of mine just bought a JK 4 dr. He wants me to help him decide modifications. Lots of fun spending someone else's money. :)

They don't even mention tow rating. :(
If it's like the older Grand Cherokee SRT8, there's good reason: (there is a hitch available and they moved the exhausts outboard in the next gen.

The older SRT8 and SRT had 420 and 470hp, respectively, but weigh over 5,300 lbs. And if you listen carefully, you can hear them depreciate.

217 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Test – Review – Car and Driver

My friends' wife drives a Mercedes AMG GLS63 in her real estate business. It has over 550hp: but it weighs 5,700 lbs. Sport, or utility: pick one.

Yep, Kenne Bell. It was the first unit they sold for the I6 4.0L. Didn't have any problems with belt stability. Had a couple issues with the PCM programming. But they were great to work with. I had to send the PCM to them. They paid shipping. First problem was it lacked power in mid range such as cruise control set going down Interstate at 70mph. Second problem was high elevation, it gave it too much fuel. I'm at 1000ft. It ran like crap at 9000ft and up. They got both issues programmed out of it and I loved it. It would white smoke those 37" tires with only problem being keeping it out of the rev limiter.
I bought that Jeep while I was in Iraq. My Son hauled it to my shop. When I got home six months later it was sitting there with all the stupid stickers and plastic still on it. When it had 79 miles on the odometer I set it up on jackstands and cut all the suspension out from under it and installed a Tera Flex long arm kit.
Including the SC I had $20K of modifications added to it. When it burned it had 18K miles on it. I sure had fun with it but don't think I'd go that route again.

Here's a pic of the factory parts we swapped out. That was before we swapped the fenders.

They did in the 60s too but got very little credit for it. Jealousy is such a horrible thing..... ;)

Yes, any vehicle 25 years or older can apply for Historic Plates. No inspection. Plate is valid as long as you own vehicle.

707hp sports engine in an offroader... A mercedes G300 with the old OM606 engine will run a million miles and be a real offroader too. And if you need hp, with a turbo off a big rig engine and sufficient intercooler, they put out 500hp with minor modifications.
