Well I heard from the dealer on the mulch kit. He called and talked to his Husqvarna Rep. That was definitely the wrong part number. The Rep even had the conversation I had with Husqvarna tapped so he was already aware of the situation. They had taken all my info when I talked to them. They are now claiming the correct part number is 965894003. That part is $64.99 instead of the $179.99 I paid for the wrong kit. Hopefully this will be the correct mulch kit.

Sorry the correct part number is 582559901.

What was the price for the triple bagger?

$399.95 from Mowers at Jacks in Maryland with free freight shipping. I have seen it in several other locations for $379.99.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you that have give your input and thoughts on this new model. I've lurked on these forums on and off for years, but you guys are the reason I decided to create an account.

I've been in the market for a couple of years to replace an aging Kubota T1460 and have been looking for something with a selectable diff lock. People seemed to hate the non-selectable diff lock on the early Husqvarna models. Like many of you, the sticker shock of an X500 was a bit much.

I was finally able to see one of these bad boys in person and will be purchasing this week. The freem seems a bit thin, even compared to my old T1460, but love the fact that is has a Kawasaki motor, fabbed deck, and selectable locker.

I only wish I could get it in a narrower deck, two blade deck. Totally against market forces, I know!

I'm in the PNW and am surrounded by white oaks. I'll be curious to hear from folks who buy the mulch kit and/or the bagger on how well they work!

I picked up my mulch kit today and can confirm this is the correct part number. It comes with 3 new blades and a plastic plug for the deck. I haven't switched the blades yet but I did make sure the plug fit correctly because the opening on this deck is so large. I would guess it will be about 2 weeks till the grass is ready for the 1st cut this spring. I'll report back on how it mulches.

Great Thread. I scratch my head sometimes trying to figure out the variations of Husqy mowers. I have a dealer purchased GT52LXS from 2016; it has a Kawa motor and Hydrogear G730. The same dealer had a 52XLS with a B&S motor and Hydro-gear. My local Lowes sells a 52XLS with B&S and Locking Tuff-Torq.

My dealer in a small town has a new owner and he had not heard of the GT48DXLS but he did call his distributor and has two coming. He was told they are not being produced once the limited supply is gone? Sounds strange as this combo...TT K66 transaxle...new fab deck...manual controlled rear locker and Kawasaki engine for $3K sounds like a "winner"? It is kind of like the XSi Husqvarna top to the line the last few years...but with a stronger transaxle and an improved deck...and the electric ignition switch removed...all improvements.

Am I missing something? I have one on hold and see very few downsides for my needs...for a tough smaller width GT w/locking "better" TT.

BTW...I went to TT web site and it looks like they have changed all there product model numbers??? Difficult to compare w/prior years...anyone else notice this> TomMartin

I noticed that as well Tom.

It does seem absurd to me that they finally make a product, that at least on paper, could really challenge Deere, and really build strong market share in this class, and choose to make it some oddball limited run. That certainly doesn't bode well for later parts availability for things like mulch kits and baggers. That being said, why bother putting out unique accessories if it is a limited run? Why tool up at great expense to make that happen?

It does appear to be just a heavier frame under a YT48DXLS, so most of the accessories are probably the same. My dealer's source told him it's going to continue in the lineup, another said it's a one-off run, and a third said it was a market test that will probably enter the lineup soon. IOW, nobody knows!

I installed my mulch kit today. Here are a few pics. The stock blades must be a real high lift blade? There is quite the angle on the end. The plug on the deck is attached with 2 bolts. The rearward bolt would require to take of the anti scalp wheel in order to get the nut that came with it on. Instead I just put a washer then lock washer and a normal nut on. I can't remove it by hand now but that's fine. IMG_7791.JPGIMG_7793.JPGIMG_7794.JPGIMG_7800.JPGIMG_7795.JPGIMG_7796.JPGIMG_7802.JPG
