Ovrszd... why would you think about a compact truck rather than a RTV? I have been wanting a RTV 1100 but just can't stomach the upfront costs. I know that it is 3/4 of what I paid for a 2006 F350 CC dually diesel, and that keeps halting me, but I'd like to hear your reasoning.

Digging up an old thread while looking for info about a rear screen.

We ordered a new x1100c a few months ago. Seatbelt recall messed everything up. I wanted a UTV due to its size, being new and how they are built. We're buying a 100 gallon spray rig with a 20' boom and I wanted something that wouldn't mind going 5-7 mph for a few hrs with a little rest to fill the tank. I didn't want to mess with a belt and loved the idea of an hvac cab in case my wife or son was with me. Goat weed tears me up too. Also I didn't want to deal with the issues of an older truck and have to make repairs all the time. I went years buying junk for cheap and keeping it going was constant. I try to pay more not and get good quality stuff that's reliable. Been working out so far

Still waiting. Latest greatest estimate is that it'll be here end of sept and hopefully ready to go soon there after. Just have to mount 4 tires, do the lift and winch and it'll be on it's way home

I just purchased a used Kubota RTV X1100C and read this thread as a bolt on rear protection panel can be expensive and seems like you could make your own. After reading this thread I have changed my mind and plan to attach a panel to the dump bed rather than the fittings behind the rear window. It makes a lot of sense to keep debris out of the engine bay, keep items from catching under the cab screen and increase the size of the bed. I would go with a mesh for visibility rather than a solid plate and may do side height increases as well similar to what "ovrszd" built. Thanks to all who contributed to this thread as it have given me a lot of good ideas to consider. Is anyone aware of aftermarket kits for the dump bed or should I just build from scratch?
