Let's talk 9mm hand guns

Regarding Talon vs Hogue, I greatly prefer the Talon because when applied carefully, they look like they are an OEM part of the gun and not an obvious add-on like the Hogue. And the slight additional grip is just what's needed for skinny single-stack grips.

I ordered a set of Talons this morning - and I'm confused. I looked at some product questions and reviews and some refer to "old style" (seam in rear) and "new style" (seam in front). Anybody know anything about this? Is one "better" than the other?

No biggie. Just different location where the edges meet. I have the new style.

I have the new style as well on all my guns, if you install them and then use a hair drier heating one side at a time and applying pressure to the heated area just heated they stay put. I go around the gun 4 times. My girlfriend actually does the initial install because she is better at lining the grip up than I, then I do the heating and applying of pressure.

I guess the only reason I'm concerned about this is the idea of self- adhesive products being "old". But if dragoneggs says "no biggie", then it's no biggie. :)

How long ago did you guys buy your "new style"?

Yeah heating carefully with a hairdryer and pushing and forming with your thumb works well to smooth out any bubbles, wrinkles.

More than 6 months ago. I'm pretty sure you would get the new style. These are peel and stick. READ the instructions before you peel. Clean the grip to get your oils and dirt off first. Very important.

We are discussing guns.

Situational awareness is regardless. But you feel smart throwing it in I bet.

That comment was neither nice nor called for.

Wow. Are we men? My goodness. Not like I said he was so and so.

Come on. He thought he was being profound, when he corrected me.

I am trying to leave philosophy class behind. We are talking guns. You need a gun, that is comfortable enough to carry, or you won't.

If anything he was being the smart alleck. But I am not a snowflake, so it didn't bother, and I replied back. Like men do.
