BX80 Series Announced!

I'd just like to have any backhoe. Every time I've pulled a John Thomas, I've thought about a hoe. Don't really need one, but have many uses that would be drained in short order. Just can't justify a hoe for 1-3/4 acres and the though of becoming everyone's "buddy".
A BH is definitely a luxury... and I don't use it enough to justify it. I suppose if I added up the hours and divided into the cost I would be shocked so I don't. But it is just one of those tools that is a pure joy to use. I know there are many jobs I would have never tackled if I went the rental route. As for being a buddy I long ago decided I would not loan any tools anymore but will always help them out. I will bring tools but my solution on the tractor was not to buy a trailer! Granted I have been looking for a dump trailer for some time now for hauling dirt and other materials but I'm afraid that will open the door for my tractor leaving the property.

I'm still amazed on how my bx24 still runs after all these years. i have added on so much stuff -- i want more! so far i use the FEL, alot! mow weekly, used a truck plow on fel for winter plowing, middle buster for dirt work, tiller for garden, landscaping work, post hole digger for drilling holes for deck foundations, bh for many things - i even used it to push a old pool wall upright that was full of water. built a trailer mover, tow tines for smoothing dirt, built a hoe furrower to speed things up in the garden instead of hand hoe, backblade. now i am looking for a 4 foot bush hog.

LOL.... heck of a great idea, no trailer, no haul, buddies that suddenly appear (that you didnt have before you bought the FEL-BH) disappear quickly... love it..! LOL
Oh man i know what you`re saying... every time i buy a new toy, its amazing how many buddies come out of the woodwork. My answer to them all is, "they have one waiting for you at the dealership, you should go down there and pick it up, because this ones mine and i dont share my toys very well"

I've had a few tractors, but when I got my first B7500, my neighbor said "Wow! Look who's got the money!" I was just about to offer to help him with it whenever he needed some, but instead, I said "Funny how your truck is in the driveway when I leave for work, and still there when I get home at night. If you worked fora living, you could buy a nice shiny new tractor!"
I like to help out, but so many seem jealous. I have the trailer and tractor, but I won't even go 3 houses up the street to plow my wife's sister's driveway. When the salt eats up the tie rods, frames, wheels, etc. then I pay. Sorry. I like my stuff nice. I would NEVER lend out my equipment. It's just too expensive.

Been waiting to see a vid on the new drive over mower decks for the BX80 series and found this YouTube vid of how to remove/install the new decks. Have to say, I liked what I saw, but what really caught my eye is that later in the video, you can see the deck is mounted on a BX2370 machine, not an 80 series machine. So, looks like you can retrofit these new decks to at least some of the older BX series. Mine is a 60 series, but I don't think the deck set-up changed with the intro of the 70 series machines.

Now if you can retrofit the FEL/BH attachments, I am interested!!!

I have a brochure for the 70 series with that deck shown in it so it must have been offered starting with the 70 series. It might not have been until later in the run though.

Started with the 70 Series. It's not just the deck but the carriage that carries the deck. I have it on my BX2670, and I doubt it'd take much to fit the 60 Series.
