John,
Do you a complete hydraulic system schematic for your
L4600? If yes could you post a copy of that please.
Like LeeJohn I am doing some serious guessing here.
In looking at how this valve is mounted I suspect the end cap you want to remove just directs the oil from the "P" channel to the "By" channel in the valve casting. The "By" port of this valve stack connects to the housing in the picture Fig H301xx. I suspect this then feeds the 3 point hitch. To replace that end cover would require a tandem center valve with the tank line capable of handling full system pressure. Connection to the tandem center valve would be P to P & tank to By.
My guess on the oil flow path of your tractor is: Pump to front loader valve, front loader valve to rear remote valve, rear remote to 3 point hitch, 3 point to tank.
To test flow path as your tractor is today. Engine can be at an idle for these tests.
Raise your loader high enough to curl and dump the bucket.
While curling or dumping with the valve shifted fully, will the rear remote functions operate?
With rear remote valve shifted fully does the 3 point hitch lift?
As an option does Kubota offer a solenoid operated option for your existing valve?
