Late to this thread and have not read it through. I looked at the Bolt, but my complaint is the same as all battery powered electric vehicles. Winter. Need heat. Battery drain. Long recharge time. For my money, such as it is, I would much rather have a Hydrogen Fuel Cell vehicle, such as they Toyota Mirai, which is in limited production now. Uses Hydrogen to produce electricity that drives the electric motors, much as the Bolt and Tesla. "Fill up" time is similar to current gas pump times and even simpler and safer, they say. Big problem is the lack of hydrogen infrastructure, except in California and limited in the North East. I guess this is due to lack of foresight and private funding only.
