Good morning!!!!

came in for early lunch as power went out in the barn, home gen started right up, had to go report it, truck is on the way, yada ya. They do a good job, won't be out for long, I say as I jinx
myself. Just changed the oil in the gen too.
Greased all the zerks on the Kubota, of course the air powered grease gun ran out of grease in about ten seconds so I finished with the manual one. Then the front wheel and wheel bearings back on the Gravely garden tractor and had fun packing in the red grease with my fingers. Marvelously goopy job. Original bearings in great shape.

Did some cleaning up in the woodshop, still unpacking old boxes, found a can of Gravely red paint, pretty old, and then the lights went out. Gen still on, they have a pole or transformer problem somewhere. We get power from way far West of here, Duke power, who announced they were spending 12 billion dollars modernizing the NC power grid, updating transformers, etc. They need to, this happens fairly often.

I think the rain has passed, only .6 inches, Toppop got it all.
Headed back out to do some more mulch shoveling. Glad it's not too heavy...

took my Echo weedeater down to local dealer as he suggested to have the hedge shear attachment put on
and of course it doesn't work on my model, it has a straight shaft, which i thought was good, but does not come apart in the middle apparently where the attachments go on. I have an older one in the barn, will go see if that works.

ordered a 1 burner induction cooktop to try. Turns out most of my wifes cookware is magnetic SS bottom, so will work. Also says cast iron will work on it. If this works ok, we will get a new stove with induction top. Might order SS canner, depending on size of the burner top. The description doesn't say the max diameter pan that can go on top.

65 degree, light rain, getting heavier now. rain supposed to end this afternoon.

64°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 81° today. Beautiful day here so far.

We have an outside cat that is about 12 years old. She doesn't do much mousing these days. Mostly just lays around. She hasn't been looking too good the past few months. Losing a lot of weight. We're not expecting her to make it through another winter. She's been a great mouser over the years, though.

Got in some practice with the foam golf balls this morning. Wife reminded me that my long list wasn't getting any shorter while I was swinging a golf club.

71°F and 1.74 inches rain. A wet night.
Hint of sun, so hoping for a couple of dry hours his morning, long enough for Kekoa's CGC class which will be held ran or shine unless a Civil Defense warning.

Nice dinner with wife last night, seafood buffet. Can't really do it justice anymore, $100+ for two with senior discount, but best option in town to get a variety of decent seafoods.

Wx will dictate today again.

Be safe
Have a great day

That's all we have. 2 burner cooktop in MH and full size range in house. Biggest things is pots and pans. They have to have a magnetic bottom. Good selection of them at Sams Club and Amazon. We also got some good ones at Ikea. Motorhome has been sold. Nicest feature is heat from cooking is much less inside of MH. Same with house. The only thing that get hot is pan. We also have had a couple portable units. Both 1800 watts. You want them this high to get maximum heating value. Our will boil a pot of water in a less than 2 minutes.
Range is a Samsung. Works well but does not have the temperature feature that many like. Wife has always used the number settings. Even on the ones that had temperature. The one motorhome (2burner)and the range (4 burner) share voltage. This means that if you select highest setting other paired burner will have reduced setting. This is not a problem most of the time. But if you are boiling water on one and burner on another water may take longer to boil. Most cooking is done on lower setting. Besides less amount of heat created a lot less electric is needed to cook. The range in house has a large convection oven. Takes a lot of current to run. We have a Cuisinart Convection/Microwave in house. Had similar in motorhome. If all you are looking for is a cooktop. The True Induction worked well in our motorhome.
Need to add that cast iron pot and pans will work. But not as good as the newer SS ones with magnetic bottoms.

Thanks, Ron, very informative.
I ordered the 1800w. Will have to look at our pans. We use LP in the house and mostly cast iron and SS.

I ordered the 1600w single since it was 1/3 the price.

In my original post I left out one item. The lower wattage ones usually have a smaller induction ring. Which can cause uneven temperatures on a large frying pan or other large bottom pan.
We have a NuWave 1800 for outdoor cooking.
