I think that is a loaded question, but I will answer it. It depends on what nuances you attribute to the word "enjoy", but I did "enjoy" it in the sense that it was an interesting story that rang true, based on the time, the place and the people. I have always been interested in differences in character and what makes people think and act in a certain way. In that respect, I found it interesting, and in that respect I enjoyed it. It doesn't mean in any respect that I get pleasure out of other peoples humiliation and mistreatment, especially that of a child. In my humble opinion, there is nothing worse than someone who abuses a child.
In my lifetime, and my profession, I have seen, heard and studied a lot of unsavory things that I had to deal with, so perhaps my perspective is a bit different, and for that I have no apologies.
Ultimatley, my only point is given time, people still don't change.
For some reason, people in today's time think people of yesteryear are better, which I don't find to be true.
As far as the story, some people are plain sick given any decade. I don't take ANY enjoyment reading about it.
Hey, I have a story about Ted Bundy and how he picked up a chick, want to hear about it?
