XRing100, thanks for this thread. After doing a bunch of research, including talking to a local welding shop, I ordered the Construction Attachments extended bar due in great part to your input. It arrived yesterday, and it's a beast. Expensive but I'm from the "you get what you pay for" camp. Plus, it's US made. Thanks again for taking the time to post the photos. They were a great help.

Your welcome Lew. I agree its definitely a pretty heavy built piece of equipment. The options for TBs that fit over a bolt on edge are far and few between as you know. I also have a set of CA 5500 lb pallet forks and they are well built i was not afraid to take the plunge and by their TB. The frost is finally coming out of the ground here I'm hopeful that i can try it out soon every thing is a muddy mess right now
Hope it works well for you

Here's the extended bar installed today. I double-nutted the bolts to protect the threads.

Looks like you didn't waste any time putting it to use I've been meaning to get some shorter bolts for mine
Did you notice a big improvement in digging performance?

Dave, I'm in the boonies so shorter bolts would mean a longer wait. I happened to have a couple of 3/4 nuts and even found them! The tooth bar offers a huge improvement. I'm excavating a hillside to reopen a spring, and a lot of the digging is in shaly ground mixed with large (100 lb+) rocks and tree roots. The teeth on the bar are, as you've all ready no doubt noted, heck for stout. I couldn't be happier. Dang, I'm having fun! :D

Finally got a chance to test out the TB I'm impressed. It rips through the clay with ease it definitely reduces the amount of effort normally required to dig. Im Working on building a backstop for my range in the side of a hill.

Dang, Having this much fun with our tractors, equipment and Toothbars, it ought to be illegal!!!:D
But if it were, we would just become part of the underground and continue enjoying them...

I just want to bring this thread up today and say thanks to Mr xring100! This thread helped me decide on choosing the Construction Attachments Extended Tooth Bar! It wasn't cheap at $650, but I really wanted a tooth bar to bolt over the existing bolt on cutting edge. I got it installed on my 7060's round back bucket:

Bet that works out real well for you. Have fun working :)

That works better than mine. On mine I have to remove the cutting bar before I hook up the toothbar. Sucks but works.

Looks great your welcome. I Iove mine I have never regretted it. They are very well built. I also like the heavy lift pallet forks i have. I'm sure you will love it. Great for digging or throwing a chain over when you need to lift something without bucket hooks.

Enjoy,

Dave
