dlatulip it depending on the overall thickness of the two bucket edges you might be able to with 2A series TB-8000-2A
Tisco Tractor Part Mart: Reliable Tractor Parts You Need. Fast :: 2A SRS ASSMBY FOR TOOTHBARS (YA190) they sell the tooth shank assembly for $21.
If i had to guess i would say that my bucket and replaceable edge might be thicker than the the one on your L4600 knowing that the lift capacity difference at the piviot pin between the LA1353 and LA764 is about 2400 lbs I would suspect that that they build the buckets accordingly but maybe not.

What is the Overall thickness of the bucket and replaceable edge on your tractor?

I made my own using FABCO holders and teeth some 6 years or so ago.
I used the smaller holders and purchased spare teeth as well. As I recall the total project ran me about $100. at that time.
The tooth catalog had holders to accommodate just about any configuration/thickness of loader bucket, in fact so many that one needed a micrometer and patience to determine what was best selection.
The whole project took about 1/2 day
I find the tooth bar so useful that I never remove it.
With bucket slightly tilted it 'rakes' roots and 'grubs' just great.
Planting the bucket vertically it is a quasi excavator shovel, either back dragging or by scooping.
In vertical position and float while back dragging I can clear most roots and over growth with ease.
This is the link for the teeth:http://www.fabco-inc.com/pdfs/fabco_complete_catalog.pdf

Do you have a Bolt on Cutting edge on your bucket, and could you supply pictures if you do i think others on the forum would find it useful. Because If W.R. Long actually makes a Tooth bar designed to work with a replaceable cutting edge they don't advertise it in words or pictures. I looked at their site before buying the CA Bar. All their pictures show the horizontal support beam to close to the leading edge of the bucket to allow a place for the bolts for the replaceable cutting edge. the following picture was found at W.R.Long the 4N1 Bucket People

When looking at tooth bars there are several duty ratings even from W.R. Long They have FTB up to 1500 lbs, TB up to 3500lbs, STB up to 3500 lbs and ITB 3500 - 6500 lbs
The TB84 Model weights 78 lbs $445 at construction Attachments. STB Model weighs 153 lbs and list for $585 ITB weights 166 lbs and list for $666.60
If you look at how CA rates the Extreme duty it is suitable for machines with over 3500 lbs lift capacity. I'm guessing it can weigh slightly less than the WR. Long and still have this ratting because the shanks mounting point has a significantly longer moment arm on the side with the Horizontal support thus minimizing the load on the bar itself.

In my case i would rather have something rated up over 3000 lbs as my loader is rated for Just shy of 3000 lbs to full height.

Nope - I don't have a cutting edge on my bucket so can't help there. I believe mine was rated at 3,500. I know I chose a rating above the limit of my loader.

HP sounds like you got a good deal and it works good for you, I'm guessing its the TB model rated for 3500lbs. If you had said you had a replaceable edge i would have sent them a message saying they need to advertise this model.
From what i can tell the bar that i have has at least $300 -$350 just in the shanks so i think the price is fair for what i paid. The only down side to going to a larger tractor is that the attachments get pricey quickly. But the reward is that they do alot more faster.

What is the Overall thickness of the bucket and replaceable edge on your tractor?

I have the L2296 72" HD round back bucket. It weighs 400# compared to the 330# for the standard Square back bucket. They both hold the same. I have attached a few pics with dimensions on them for my bucket and cutting edge. As far a lifting capacity I show 2 different weights at the pivot pins, One at full extension, 1684# and one at 1500 MM, which is 2154#

I'm going to make a template of how I think the teeth should fit and see if I can match up any of the shanks I have found. The YA190 may work with a little grinding. After the factory cutting edge, the inside of the bucket raises another 1/8 - 3/16".

If I didn't like winter projects, I would just buy the bar. It's not about saving money since the shanks cost so much but rather keeping me busy.

Nice illustrations. I'll check my bucket edge thickness but in looking at your pictures i'd guess they are pretty similar. I'm pretty sure that CA modified the shanks to accommodate the horizontal support thus keeping the two edges on the same plane. I can show you where they machined they shanks. The TB-8000-2A shank will support up to a 1.5" bucket edge so in theory it should work with your bucket. The shanks are about 1" shorter than the ones on my bucket but from the picture you can tell they are plenty long with plenty of room behind the bolts.

I measured my Bucket tonight the total cutting edge thickness is 1 3/8" this is the measurement you measured at 1 3/16" in the first picture. the 4 5/8" measurement in the second picture is 6" on my bucket. the first bolts are spaced out a 2.5" as well. Almost certain the other shank should work

Ordered the YA190 from Tractorpartmart.com. Shipping seemed reasonable considering how much they weigh. I ordered 10 of them for a total cost of $248. Not sure I will need ten for a 72" bucket, it was better than being short and I may end up with spares. I have been reading on spacing. From what I can tell most are spaced 8-10 apart, measured between the shanks on the bar. For a little overkill I'm going to plug weld the shanks to the bar as well.

Dave, Sorry to hijack your thread. I will start a new thread when I build the bar.

Cool if i had a larger welder I might have made mine myself. Having spare shanks is probably not a bad thing. I think most of the 72" bars have 7 or 8 I'm hopefully that the 10 on my 84" bar dig okay. I'm sure there is some balance between fewer teeth which yield higher loading per tooth to help penetrate the ground and enough teeth to sufficiently break. up the ground.

I want a bigger welder but first i need to upgrade the service in my house to 200 amp service from 100 to run at least a 60 amp service to the barn or just run a separate service to the barn which would be a shorter run since the pole/transformer is between the house and barn. I currently only have 30 amp 220 in the barn.

Good luck with your endeavors and no worries about hijacking the thread

XRing100, thanks for this thread. After doing a bunch of research, including talking to a local welding shop, I ordered the Construction Attachments extended bar due in great part to your input. It arrived yesterday, and it's a beast. Expensive but I'm from the "you get what you pay for" camp. Plus, it's US made. Thanks again for taking the time to post the photos. They were a great help.
