I wonder if being a dedicated tlb put's it into a different rops/fops category (from a "tractor") as far a osha is concerned? Your suggestion makes too much sense for there not to be a big issue with it :confused3:
I think so too. Why none of the TLB line has a cab option remains a bit of a mystery.
I don't think it is purely a cost or rops/fops issue. That might be part of it, although Kubota makes cabs for other machines in their line.
Consider this - As long as the M59 has been sold, TBN has hosted a long-running (45 pages now) M59 Discussion Thread devoted to that single model. M59 Discussion Thread
In the last 8 years there have been lots of simple changes discussed in that thread that would be easy to do and make the M59 better. It's possible that some owners might have wished for another two feet of digging depth - I don't remember it offhand...., but it wasn't anywhere near the most popular change. I think a more accessible toolbox topped the wish list, closely followed by a taller seating position.
Yes, of course a cab option was often mentioned, so much so that I think we all sort of assumed that the next model would offer it.
My point is this:
OF THE SIMPLE CHANGES THE M59 OWNERS DISCUSSED IN THIS - THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR M59 THREAD - ....NOT A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE CHANGES WAS INCORPORATED INTO THE NEW M62.
Oh, I guess a hair-splitter could argue that the brake pedals got moved to the left side, although doing so at the cost of no longer having a clutch pedal was definitely NOT on our improvement list.
So why did nothing get changed? It almost seems like we jinxed it by mentioning things.
