I believe yanmar also uses a DPF. It is my understanding Minhindra is the only tractor without DPF.

I didn't expect the hear 35K for a 47 hp yanmar tractor, when I can buy a 65 HP cab Minhindra with very low hrs for 24 K.
I thought yanmar would be in the ball park. My findings are ,they aren't close

I think various brands are different. I talked to a guy outside of the Kubota dealership who parked his new Mahindra because it kept breaking. Not sure which mod but it was in the high 50s range and was new. Hes now in litigation with Mahindra and bought a kubota. I can get a Branson with a so called cummins engine for 32K in the 51 HP range. Im a huge cummins guy but if its built in south Korea then to me, its not my brand of cummins.

New vehicles are terrible values. My tractor is the only thing with four wheels I've ever bought new. Just bought a 95' F250 work truck, my car has 240,000 miles... Who cares! No car payments = more tractor stuff

well, I bought a new Kubota Z turn diesel a month or so ago. I put 1.9 hours on it when the engine blew. They put a new engine on a couple weeks ago and everything seems well now.

They all break at some point

What other implements do you guys consider a requirement or what do you use? If I buy one I want to get the ones I need during the purchase as it saves me transport later.

I personally regret not ordering my tractor with 3rd function hydraulics on the FEL. I'll probably have it installed some day but should have done it first, and I might have a grapple by now.

From your earlier posts it sounds like you are doing a fair bit of construction. I'd get some pallet forks. Handy for moving materials. I wouldn't necessarily get them from Yanmar... Cheaper options out there if you have an SSQA.

Aside from that, I love having a backhoe on my tractor. Hugely useful, and over a thousand pounds of ballast for loader work. One of the reasons I went with Yanmar was the backhoe mount system, that does not require an additional set of subframe rails because it has a 4 point mount. Makes mounting and dismounting simpler. Some manufacturers do this, some don't. On some tractors you can't install a mid mount mower unless you remove the subframe rails, even after you have removed the backhoe. The rails also reduce ground clearance. (LS and New Holland have some models like this). Anyway, the mounting system is worth researching if you are interested in having a BH some day. Kubotas and Yanmars both have have pretty awesome backhoes available.

Forgot to mention... This isn't an attachment per se, but I'd order my new tractor with the high-output alternator. With 175 acres to play on, it's probably only a matter of time before you want some big LED light bars.

Thats a great idea. I am going to order the third function up front. As far as front light bars, what do you guys recommend? THX

LEDs draw such low current that I don'e see the need for more amps from the alternator (at least for those)

I don't have any recommendations per se, but I've been researching a bit. Would have liked to have had some light bars on by now, before winter, but alas, the house must be painted. Ugh.

For what it's worth, here's my thinking so far... I've seen some light bars that have integrated amber strobe LED's. That'd be nice for traversing public roads. I don't have a cab, so a ROPS mount is the plan. I don't want it above the ROPS because it will hit my garage door. I don't want it below, because my head will hit the bar when I'm using the backhoe. I could use brackets to put it out in front (or back) so I'll probably do that. OR... I've been thinking I might be able to build a super cool magnetic mount using rare earth neodymium magnets. They're cheap, and you can get hundreds of pounds of "sticking force" with just several magnets. We'll see what experiment works out.

Welding ground magnetsalso work great for that.
