anyone using a WoodMaxx blower??

   / anyone using a WoodMaxx blower?? #92
Biggest problem I've seen with Woodmaxx has been delivery. Might be tough to get one on order (for this winter's use) this late in the year
I thought of that too Roy, but I like the machine. They may have ramped up for winter but who knows.

Paul,

Just got off the phone with customer service and blower is in stock, will ship in 10 days or less. She said I only left a $100 deposit, did I want to pay in full. I told her my only option at ordering was to leave a deposit--- she said system wasn't working quite right. Anyhow, does not seem to be an issue with availability, not yet anyway.

Roy,

No prob with availability as you may have seen in my post to Paul T. I'm happy that the unit will be here before snow flies.

I don't know what else to say other than ???
Why would it take more than one day???

These and many other Woodmaxx implements are mostly made in China, but are then unpacked, inspected, and assembled at their upstate NY facility before being shipped out. They report something as in stock when they have it onsite in the container from China, but obviously don't ship until the other steps are done. It's not how the companies that make stuff here describe things, but it makes sense once you understand their specific process.

As already noted, they only require a $100 deposit to put your name on something that isn't there yet, then you pay in full once it's sitting at their facility. This seems reasonable to me.

I took a serious look at 8-10 brands of snowblowers before ordering the Woodmaxx. In the end I couldn't find anything with the same feature set other than a Pronovost, for roughly twice the cost and with no nearby dealer. I don't expect I'll get exactly the same quality as that for 1/2 the cost, but my other Woodmaxx implements have met all my expectations and seem to be as well made as various US-made implements I've owned in the past (Deere, Woods, Landpride).

My SB72 is somewhere in the assembly process and hopefully shipping in the next week or so. We've already been having snow for three days and it's not November yet!
