Carry permit. Would traffic stop make police be more cautious? yea or nay?

Here's a really weird idea: We could start with the Constitution.

I had to laugh watching one video of a cop questioning someone videoing them (the police). The cop asked the person videoing "what are you, one of those constitutionalists?"

Think about that one...

I've sent them an email. If I get the story I'll most certainly post it. You obviously need to hear the first hand account. I'm curious to see how some of spin it into the LEO being a bad cop. :)

Again the chip on your shoulder is showing.
Nobody has in any way suggested that this cop may have done anything wrong but you have to show how persecuted and mistreated the poor police officers are.
I and everybody here know you don't believe ANYTHING ANY officer does EVER is or could be wrong.

You back the blue.

I don't think its a question of being a bad cop, but again, from the info you gave, the story makes little sense.

How about this, instead of trying to find the story, give a detailed account of exactly what happened?

Was the guy in his car and the cop asked him to move out of his car to camp? I'm also trying to understand how the cop got shot and or why they guy would even want to shoot him if the cop was letting him go and the cop walking back to his car. Hopefully you can see per what info you've given, it really does not make any sense.

My Dad said to me "Wrestle with a pig and you get muddy, and the pig enjoys it."

That's where we are now.

I gave you an account as I remember hearing it. You don't accept that. You want to spin it.

I truly understand why what I've told you does not make sense. Because it doesn't fit your mold of the LEO is "bad", everyone else is "good".

This man shot the LEO for absolutely no reason. I told you that. You can't accept that. It must have been the LEO's fault.

As others have said in this thread before me, there's no truth in you. I concede. You win. Cops are bad, society is good.

Lastly, you are right. It makes no sense. That's been my point all along. LEO's have to accept that every contact makes no sense. So expect the worst.

Ever you ever been in a life threatening situation?? I'm not talking about someone scaring you. I'm talking about a life threatening situation.

If you take the time to read all of my posts, which I dare you to reread, you'll see that I have never said all officers are always right. If you find one, please post it.

The most ironic part of this with you three is if tonight you are violated you will instantly call the LEOs and expect them to right this wrong. How ironic is that.

And then tomorrow you will continue this conversation about how "bag" LEOs are.

I don't get it. :confused3:

In my personal experience dealing with traffic stops and cops in general...It is a lesson well learned to NOT crack any doughnut jokes in the presence of an officer...!

Or antagonize them in their execution of their duties. Has nothing to do with being disrespectful of immediately assuming the LEO is violating your constitutional rights in some manner.

That's all I mean by saying "I Back the Blue". :)

While me and a van full of guys were going through Milwaukee we got lost in a strange neighborhood, pre GPS date. We saw a cop car sitting in a big parking lot so we drove over next to him to ask directions. Sure enough he had a big old doughnut in his mouth and the passenger said, "I figured we would catch you eating a doughnut." He got a chuckle out of it as did all of us. And he helped us out.

As it usually is. :)
