Why are you getting insulting now? I’m as liberal as they come - but I also agree that everybody’s got the right to protect themselves and their property. The whole point is, at what point is enough enough?

That's not a liberal viewpoint, a liberal will say call the police and wait for them to show up because you have no right to protect yourself and definitely NOT allowed to protect your property. The whole point is enough is enough when this US liberal government politicians want's to screw around with the Sec. amendment because some mad man goes off the deep in. So no they want to hold gun manufacturers liable for mass shootings, I'm with Patrick Henry on this.

I've lived out here in the Scabrock country now for 35+ years and NEVER once have I ever needed a weapon. Been a few times I wished I had my 'ol Winchester 30-30 - - coyotes. I don't know what it is, but around here we just don't seem to go around shootin' each other very often.

It's coyotes that have rabies that you'll really wished you had your 30-30 and it will only take once to upset your world. Around here it's mostly foxes and raccoons to watch out for.

A fair amount of raccoons around here along with deer, coyote, and bear not to mention the little critters. Can't wait for my 22LR suppressor so I can control the smaller ones with disturbing the neighbors.

I seen that.
..... And considering a lot of stores were offering BOGO deals, and that some people purchase more than one gun at a time, possibly close to 1/2 million guns sold in one day. !!!
I know I contributed to 4 of those, with one background check, but did not get in on any of the BOGO deals.
...I did however take advantage of Brownings, and Remington's rebates..

I don't shoot any critters unless there's no other option. Even a groundhog that decided to set up house keeping in an out building is safe. I did put a .22LR round behind him (or her) last summer to give it some motivation to stay outside the fence line...that's about the limit.
Now, I didn't write I wouldn't kill a critter....but only if absolutely necessary
