You guys need to get of your high horse.
People of all types, smart, dumb, kind, and just plain jerks. May find it hard to believe, but you'll find all types in both the city or country. Clint prime example of being the latter, being a "country boy" mind you because he didn't want to help because he wasn't "recognized".
The only time people trespassed on my property, guess where they were from? Not the city. All the beer cans on my local roads aren't coming from the people the moved in from the city as well.
Try living in the city. Life is definitely more fast pace, and yes, you can't be as neighborly, but it's the nature of living in a large city (try waving or saying hello to everyone you meet in the subway, and you'll never get to work on time).
That said, our family trip to DC this past year, there were a bunch of friendly people we met, both in and out of the subway system (some who even actually helped us, and they were from the city, not visiting from the country:laughing

Just because you live in the country doesn't automatically make you a nicer or better person. You have to work at it...
