All our cats started with a litter box but migrated to outside. Easy to do. Our Simba uses the doggie door even more than the pups. I too, dislike litter boxes, the smell and the work.

I have a box for the indoor cats, use the proper litter, clean it once a day, change it when it needs it, anywhere from two weeks to a month with my cats. Smell is very little issue if done properly. It痴 like anything else, it doesn稚 need to be any worse than you let it.
If I had a pet door I壇 have coons, possums and goodness knows what else.

Don I have a 3 band Netgear router. R8500 I believe. It does a good job in the house. But not in shop and barn. Added a Netgear N300 extender to these buildings. They work great and cost about $30 on Amazon.

What happens if you get your finger in-between the magnet that strong and and metal?

Farmer nailed it. And once the magnet is stuck to something, you'll have a heck of a job prying it off. I put one of those hard drive magnets on the refrigerator door, and couldn't even lift a corner of it. Ended up sliding it to an edge so I could get a finger under it, and it left a big scratch in the paint. I wouldn't hesitate to drag one of those HF floor sweepers through an ash pile, as long as I knew that the fire was out and cold. I might, however, wrap it in plastic to keep the ash out of the mechanism. HF also sells an inexpensive pallet wrap that would be perfect for that job. I don't think I'd enjoy the job of pulling nails off a magnet. I tried that when the concrete contractor left all the nails from his forming on the ground around the driveway. I sure found a LOT of nails, but none of them wanted to let go of the magnet without a tug-o-war.

3 years ago I cracked the left front fender flare on my Jeep and had to replace it. They only come/are sold in pairs, that is a good thing because this morning when I went to get the mail the windrow from the plow was too close to the ditch and in I went ( about 2' deep) and got the mail boxes too. End result, I need the right front flare which I have from 3 years ago, complete with the hardware to install it. A job for the garage on Monday. I would do it myself IF I had a heated shop, but with temps in the single digits my hands wont allow me to do it. It is a good thing I have 4wd or I would be shelling out for the flare and a tow.

With regards to stinking litter boxes, I use baking soda in the bottom and chick starter is the litter. It is cheap and I am cheep, 55 lbs for $17.oo. Instead of Sweet Scoop (wheat) which is a 30lb bag for $40.oo/bag.

Ron,

How far is the shop and barn from the house ?

IOW: What distance are you covering with that extender ?

I think I'm at around 400' or so up here the shop from the house.

Yeah .... you probably wouldn’t want to do that. Losing a finger might sting a bit?

I’d been looking at all magnets, on Amazon, to make a ”portable” mount to have a video camera on front end loader when using pallet forks, stump bucket, and tree / post puller.
