2019 Silverado

No. But to order a truck with what you want is virtually impossible. It's all about packages and trim level. I got a good deal on an 08 when GM was going broke. Free Duramax and Allison. Cash deal. My Dakota had been written off in an accident, no fault of my own and the settlement was a good starting point. I always wanted a Diesel (if you can call it that), so the timing was right.

Did you say you bought a product from a company that was going broke and then you are complaining about the quality? What does that say about your expectations?

I'm not sure that going broke had much to do with the Quality/engineering issues. I could be wrong.

There is enough Flaky technology to go around. My point is, do so few people see it for what it is? Or don't they care?

GM and their low riding trucks. I would get high centered on some of the ant hills around here.

I agree! My 11 sits lower to the ground than my 04 did, thats a bad thing with deep snow. I loathe GM's low slung frames.

Really? It's the first time I ever heard this. But many of these (stock) trucks do look like they are destined for the ghetto. Low profile chrome wheels and all.

It is still way above the axles so how can it be causing a problem?

Look at that, some SUV's have more ground clearance than their z71 edition has. I have however noticed the newer 2500/3500 gm trucks finally have some height to them, which is good.

I like the current body style better. In any case maybe I can afford one in 2030.

If someone can recommend a cheap transmitter on E-Bay that excites the GM TP sensors, I would appreciate that. I have had the truck since 09 and don't know if I will get another GM so I don't want to invest a lot of money. The tire dealer usually does this for me, when I can't get it to work. I wonder, if frozen moisture freaks these thing up?. I don't know. No one ever seems to consider the long term cost of all this fancy BS.

Just Google "EL-50448". That is the official tool that should work for any GM system since around 2010. They used to be around $80 but now can be found for less around $10.

Also if your truck is that old the sensors may be bad. The batteries in them are only designed to last around 5-7 years then they need to be replaced. Just to be safe I have my TPMS sensors replaced every time I put new tires on (only costs around $60 extra total while the shop is mounting and balancing 4 tires).
