Drew.

After you spread your fertilizer. Cross disc. Usually either 45* or 90* to the direction of planting. This helps prevent fertilizer streaks. Clay soils you won’t see it much but your sand will stand out.
Then on final disc pass always go in the direction of planting. This allows any ridging that might happen to stay within the row instead of planting up and down. Although not a big deal with a push planter but today’s high speed units will tend to bounce.

If i order one, i will be the one learning to cook with it.

Here's a C-Net review of one of the baseline Instant Pots.

Instant Pot's Lux beats back Crock-Pot with better flavor - CNET

I picked up a six function Duo 6 quart earlier this year and it works fine for me. It came with a small cookbook, and so far everything I've tried with it, including rice, has come out perfect. Just like any pressure cooker, it's sensitive to the amount of food and water you put in it. Stick to a recipe, or a multiple of a recipe (don't overfill the pot) and it'll work great. Sounds like the C-Net reviewer winged it and got bad results, Gee, wonder why?:duh:

There are TONS of recipes out there that take the guess work out:

instant pot recipes - Google Search

The Cowboy Stew I made was a double recipe, and it came out fine. The only wrinkle is that in browning all that floured meat, a thick skin of browned flower and juices built up on the bottom of the pot. I threw in a cup of red wine, turned on the Saute function, and it boiled right off. Threw the rest of the ingredients in, gave it two Stew cycles for the double batch, and it was perfect.

I'm no chef, Farmer, and if I can cook in the darn thing, you should be able to as well.

Wow. You guys have been busy. I’ve been busy helping my wife out, and dealing with our snow here. Things are pretty good, the weather has gotten warmer, enough to melt off the snow in many places.

I really have tried to cook, but my wife gets pretty agitated if I even try, it’s like I’m telling her that she isn’t doing something right? She is a good cook, so it’s not like I really have too. Maybe unconsciously, I don’t want to?

I’ll say without hesitation I’d prefer to cook than do the dishes. My wife is really good about not expecting me to do the dishes, although I do mostly clean up after myself. As for the cooking we both have things we prefer the other to make. I’m more adventurous as to trying something new or different. Being the oldest of 8 kids my mother had me cooking since I was tall enough.

The long lumber has been suitably reduced to their proper sizes and the raw ends received two coats of paint.

Good morning all. Thanks for sharing the mini heatwave with us, 11C/52F expected today. Ground is sweating so much it's hard to believe it hasn't rained.

Apart from hard boiled eggs, my wife never trusted me to cook anything until we got an induction hob. The precise and almost instant control of the heat was a revelation and gave me the confidence to be far more adventurous -now I can do them soft boiled too :)

Thanks, I will remember this. I have to adjust my disc better, toplink not set right.

Good morning! Yesterday had me wishing for cooler temps when the sun peeked out and the temps reached 73˚. 57˚ now and we are expecting twenties by Christmas eve.

Today might be a road repair day, I noticed standing puddles yesterday and I still have half a gravel pile left from last year. I try not to scrape the road just fill in the low spots and keep the gravel compacted. My winding drive is developing bank turns which allows greater speeds going down the drive. My own racetrack.

Borla's Pipe-Organ Tech Gets Your Car Riffing Like AC/DC - Technologue - Motor Trend

these pics of pipe organs made me chuckle at this car article, polyphonic mufflers, new term, pipe organ tech
Don, get some polyphonic mufflers that PJ can help you tune...and let 'er rip on your driveway.

Of course I also just read that some new cars (VW) have plastic oil pans now that are really a concern on graveled roads and offroad.
Don, you might want to keep it under 100. ;)
