I’d gladly pay $450 for a 372 or a 7900. Unfortunately I haven’t found such a deal.

Opeforum or Arboristsite are where I've had the best luck buying saws. I've bought a couple on Craigslist but try to avoid it. Guys on the forums want to protect their reputation, so generally they don't sell junk or try to pass something off as a good runner if it isn't. Of course you'll get people who just sign up to try to sling BS, but it's easy to spot that behavior.

I never claimed the 7910 (or even a 7900) was 6.5HP. without going back and re-reading what I posted....it could have been a typo.

Again, I have been out of the saw market for ~8 years, so dont know what the EPA has done to the main stream pro saws.

But back then, a Dolmar 7900 was 6.3HP. A husky 372xp was 5.3.....at the same weight and for $100 more.

Huskys next jump was the 385xp which cost a few pounds and same power as 7900.

So the Dolmar was the sweet spot for power/weight/price.

But all in good fun. Im not hating on the 372xp. So dont take it seriously. I like saws in general. Just a preference for dolmar. And in the 65-80cc range....I think they have the best bang for the buck in terms of power and weight.

You’re right. You did claim 6.3 hp. Anyway comparing current models both brands are pretty close. Not the landslide victory as comparing either brand to a Stihl is.

What’s that supposed to mean?

That's a link to a definition, though it does look sketchy. You can Google it yourself also.

I was just acknowledging and appreciating the way you mended fences with the Dolmar fans while dissing Stihl saws all in one breath.

I like all the brands, so it's fun to make fun of all of them.

Enjoy that 372. I'd love to own one, but I'm worried that all the screws will vibrate loose, and when they do, I gotta drive an hour to find a dealership. ;)

Whatç—´ that supposed to mean?

I did not write it and I do not know what it means, but I do know that anyone who says that comparing a Dolmar or a Husky to a Stihl is a Landslide does not know what they are talking about. All 3 are excellent brands. No landslides involved.

When you factor price.....its pretty close to a land slide

I have not been on this forum for long but this type of comment is insulting to Stihl users like myself. I would never make such a comment about a Dolmar or Husky user, they are both good brands. On a good forum good members respect each other.
