Yesterday evening, the NWS was forecasting a low this morning of 18, but at 5 a.m. they were showing the actual to be 10 and an hour later up to 13 going for a high of 45. I'm sure ready for some warmer weather . . . . and lower electric bills.:D

My same thoughts. I cannot bend over very long like that guy. But I realized from that video you did not have everything prepared as well as that guy. You should have had them stacks of bricks all laid out ahead of time. :D

He can probably lay em’ faster than two guys can resupply him with more pavers.

About 17 outside this AM. Should be warming up, throughout the day and the rest of the week. Need to run out today for cell phone repair and foods. Not much else going on. Now in battle with insurance company on coverage for certain prescriptions. Funny how you start using one, and low and behold, they drop coverage on it shortly thereafter. I'll be glad when we can wean off certain pills.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good Morning!!!! 48F @ 4:45AM. Areas of patchy fog early. Cloudy with periods of rain. High near 50F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall possibly over one inch.

Looks like we've got another front coming through starting around 8 AM, and it'll be fairly wet out for a few hours after that. Then scattered showers for the rest of the day. The driveway is starting to get some ruts, and after this week's run of storms, it might be time to get the box blade after it again.

I think that paver video convinced me that concrete is the way to go. Except at the side of the house where the sprinkler lines run to the back yard; don't want to have to bust up a sidewalk to fix a leak.

Hope the rest of the crop does as well as those onions, Drew. Yer gonna be a busy boy this spring and summer!

Thank you all for sharing the World War service stories. Those wars were massive, but at the end of the day, it all came down to the actions of individuals, and those stories bring that home. I had two uncles that served in WWII, one in each theater, but neither would talk about their experiences.
My dad had hearing problems and was 4F, but he worked at Curtiss Wright during the war. Stayed on through the transitions to North American, then Rockwell, made a career of it.

Made good progress on the alternator/ignition install on the old motorcycle yesterday. Didn't like the bracket they provided for the trigger unit and rectifier, so made another from some aluminum sheet I had on hand. Was just gonna polish it up with a Scotchbrite pad, but it was badly scratched, and ended up painting it at the end of the day. It was too cold for paint outside, to I hung the panel on the back porch, shot it, and brought it back in to dry. Did the same for the second coat, but found the fog had rolled back in, and had a little competition going between the paint and the fog. Paint won out, and I'll install the panel today, which pretty much finishes up the job. Then on to more wiring. Need to take a look at the steering bearing adjustment as well, and figure out if they're the original ball bearings, or if John had changed them over to more modern tapered rollers. If the latter, I already know they're too loose and that will cause a wobble going down the road.

Hang in there gang, Friday's comin'!

I hear ya, my ins company is investigating my "injury". Wanting to know if it was workplace or automotive accident caused. No and no.

Doing that dance too. This is after we alerted them to pending DR visits a few months back. The institutions we visited recommended we check with our insurance for coverage. So when we did that, and had the work done, you would think that those inquiries would not happen. No such luck. I swear I have a stack of them, probably one for each Doctor.

It's just a paper trail process catching up. It needs to be tweaked. It's a huge waste of trees. That and the coverage/billing info. One page on that, six pages in various languages on what the one page is all about.

30 degrees here at 8 a.m. This is last below freezing for next 15 days of forecast according to Weather Channel.

I’ve spent more time breaking ice in livestock water troughs than any year in recent memory.

I had to restock them myself. Don was cutting the short end pieces. That was after shoeing away the Scorpions that were in the stored piles of bricks.
