The day the music died.

Back in early December.....my wife and I were in Claremont Calif. Walked into the Folk Music Center that has been there for years. The store is now owned by Ben Harper and his mother runs the place. Anyways......I was looking at guitars and in walks Ben and Jackson Browne......they picked up a couple guitars and played "These Days"......how cool! After I talked to both.....told Jackson I saw him with David Lindley at the Four Muses in Orange Co. back in 1970 before he ever signed a record contract. He laughed........Jackson looks a lot older.......me too!!!!

I liked Jackson Browne's music, but also liked him because he's the main reason the rest of the world got to hear Warren Zevon.

Last vid clip I saw of Jackson he was playing a tribute to Warren, just a few years back.

We all look older, but that sure beats the alternative.....

59 years later and people still recognize their names. Heck I met people last week and forgot their name. Something to be said about that! :laughing:

For me, it was a far simpler and carefree time in my life. Those old songs just bring back all those fond memories.
