Laura GMC Buick- Worth the trip/flight. Huge inventory and high volume. Purchased new 2017 GMC for price of used 2015/2016. Have 3 full time drivers just to pickup buyers at the airport
on 13.9 on unleaded regular. And while I drive reasonably, I like to hear the motor work a little. GM's small block and the hemi simply sound wonderful, proverbial music to my ears. You give that up pretty much with a turbo six but clearly you get other advantages.
If you can keep your foot out of it, getting 20mpg is super. Now that I'm selling my travel trailer, I wouldn't mind downsizing to one of the new small diesels. Just worry about being an early adopter with any of them.
The engine that absolutely amazes me is the 2.7 Ford Ecoboost. Amazing output for that engine.
But it still doesn't sound nice to a motorhead and that the 5.3 Chevy does very nicely. Not sure I could give that up; guess that's
why Ford keeps offering the 5 liter V8. Now that sounds nice too.
Those come in the work truck package along with vinyl floormat and cloth type seats, like I posted in an earlier post if you can live without all the bells and whistles you can still buy one of these trucks at a pretty good price, when I bought mine in 2015 it was 6k more to upgrade from the WT package and the only thing that I really wanted that it didn't have was a CD player, I was able to get a nice aftermarket one installed with Bluetooth and all the other fancy stuff for about $ 800.00, the work truck package makes sense for me. To the OP I hope you enjoy that very nice truck.Wow they still have a lever for the transfer case selection?
If Subaru is a niche player, than so is Dodge and GMC. In 2017 Subaru was the #8 best selling nameplate in the US. GMC was #10, Dodge #12.My experiences are similar. I'm sure a good part of it is that Suburu is a niche player, so they have to try harder at the dealer level. Don't make anything that appeals to me though.
But we are talking about trucks here, no?If Subaru is a niche player, than so is Dodge and GMC. In 2017 Subaru was the #8 best selling nameplate in the US. GMC was #10, Dodge #12.
