Yeah, I turned my kids to the dark side by pouring syrup on sausage when they were small! Now they can't eat sausage without syrup. :laughing:

Speaking of quirky food, this thread has me hankering for an oyster omelet. Aka: Hang Town Fry.

And then there are oyster burgers. Oyster guts dripping down your chin. Yum!

Macaroni and cheese; sausage and syrup...I might eat them if I had been lost at sea for a week or so, and that was all that was available...but have never liked M&C, probably because my brother and my Dad loved it. I don't like meat that has a sweet flavor at all...that includes...and especially...Bar B Que. But...and I think deservedly...I do have a reputation for being very, very picky about my food. I love oysters, shrimp, calf fries, lamb fries, okra, black eyed peas, goober peas and lots of things that shock the sensibilities of some of our friends...and I wouldn't eat sushi on a bet.

Armor texture eater, so there are many many things that I will not eat. I would say I'm a texter eater blended with a visual heater. If it has a certain look I won't touch it if it has a certain feel I won't touch it. that means my wife is forced to make the same short list of meals over and over for the past 25 years.
