It wouldn't hurt to replace that lower Torrington bearing either. I don't happen to see a grease fitting anywhere. Seems like there should be one between the bushings in the axle tube.

I have new ones of those as well. There is a grease fitting between the bushings, here's a pic. :)

So it looks like the spindles are the same from left to right. Do you guys think it would be a good idea to swap sides now, to maybe create a new wear surface, i.e.: place the load on a fresh surface?

You are replacing everything that will wear so it should not matter. It will ride awful smooth once you are done.

Will the tie rod arms fit if you swap them? If they will it will load the clean side of them and may give you a bit more tire clearance to the rod ends.

Ok finally got both sides finished today. It was not easy, after installing the bushings they kinda shrink on the inside diameter so I used a stone hone on a drill until the spindles would slide in. Well I actually twisted them in back and forth. LOL. With the new bushings and bearings, everything is nice and tight. No slop. I'm glad this part is finally over. LOL

Washing some parts before blasting and paint :)

Mopar, you're a Kroil man! Good stuff, hard to find around here. Like WD40 on steroids, plus it has that Teflon or whatever in it.
I have a coupon to order two big cans online, probably only way to get it. Would be nice if local NAPA stocked it.

What are you using to wash (degrease) prior to blasting?

I have a 5 gallon bucket of kerosene that I let the parts soak in for a little while which really loosens up the thick grime and grease. Then I use SuperClean or Purple Power available at any auto parts store which also works really good, and I pressure wash them with HOT water. That process usually gets most anything clean. Spray em off with compressed air to dry and then sandblast/glass bead. Then I wash the parts one more time with SuperClean and hot water. I use a little blow torch to dry the parts/evap the water.

I'm having good luck with Ace Rust Stop Machine and Implement rattle can paint. It covers real nice. If I knew how to mix and reduce paint, and mix in a hardener, and adjust a spray gun I would use automotive paint, but that's a skill I haven't learned. It sure would be nice though because it really is a whole lot more resistant to gas and brake clean.
