Quirky and OCD tendencies..... Anyone else have them?

Wow, that is a hot grill. I will have to try that sometime, I have been grilling around 600. What temperature does everyone else grill at?

My Weber doesn't have a thermometer; I grill at "Hot", as opposed to "cool" "medium" "hot" and "very hot". A one inch rib eye I cook for about 7 or 8 minutes per side to get a medium cooked steak. Depending on variation in temp, I will turn my steaks once, sometimes twice.

That doesn't sound very hot... at least in my mind... but most grills don't get hot enough for me to do steaks proper. I grill a 1in boneless steak no more than 3 minutes a side and rotating a quarter turn at 1 1/2min then wrapped foil/towel for medium rare. Got to watch out for hotspots and flame ups too.

I keep mine covered, so flame ups are not a problem.

Me too but if enough fat is dripping I get torches than char more than desired. For instance a good ribeye!

When changing the volume on the TV I have to stay on an even number. Not 13, not 12.5. 12 or 14 okay.

I was reminded of another today while driving a rental car. I went to flip the rear view mirror to night mode and the lever was already in the "up" position. Granted, it does work to flip the other way but for me lever forward is daytime and lever rearward (flips the mirror up, not down) is nighttime.

As I understand it, it is supposed to go up for night so that it puts the reflection of the headlights of the car behind you on the headliner of the car rather than in the face of the person in the middle of the back seat.

I try to keep stuff put away and organized (at least in my shop and office). Even working on a project I will put away tools and parts bins away. Close and latch parts bins each time get something out. Would rather have to go get the same tool, etc in an hour instead of letting them pile up on the work bench.

My wife works differently. When she asked for help looking for something in the house I tend start picking up, sorting out and putting away stuff. I get grief for this, but tend to find stuff.
